Telavi State University hosted the consortium management meeting of the Erasmus+ project DUGEOR – “Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in Georgia's Higher Education“.
The meeting was opened by TeSaU Rector Shalva Tchkadua with a welcoming speech and emphasized the university's leading role in the region in the direction of dual education.
Within the framework of the consortium meeting, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia presented the details of the draft amendments to the law on higher education, which aims to provide legal support for the dual model.
The National Center for Quality Improvement in Education (EQE) has shared recommendations on the development of accreditation standards for dual programs.
Batumi Maritime Academy (BSMA) presented the current status of project dissemination.
Project coordinator Mirko Savić spoke about the activities planned for 2025.
During the two-day event, participants assessed the project's progress, exchanged best practices, and planned future steps.
The participants of the meeting visited the mini training winery created and equipped within the framework of the project and tasted the wine produced by TeSaU.
Finally, the consortium participants visited the Shumi wine factory.
